Biography
Guillaume obtained his master’s degree in 2013 on the topic of avian influenza genomes analysis using NGS. Then, in 2017, he completed a PhD on the subject of the detection and characterization of respiratory pathogens using high-throughput PCR and NGS methods.
In November 2017, he joined the Chaire of Biosecurity at the Veterinary School in Toulouse as an engineer in charge of the clinical diagnostics lab and development of new molecular tools for the detection and characterization of viral genomes.
Research
Guillaume is on charge of technical validation of laboratory analysis and monitors the relevance of our molecular tools. He’s also involved in research projects where Next Generation Sequencing technologies such as Oxford Nanopore Technologies and Illumina are used for emerging viral genomes description or for metagenomics studies on complex tissues.
