Biography
Claire obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary School of Toulouse, France, 2012. She completed her MSc on Animal Health and Epidemiology in collaboration with the University of Montpellier II, the CIRAD and the Veterinary School of Toulouse in 2013. She completed a PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology in collaboration with the Royal Veterinary College and the Pirbright Institute in 2016.
In January 2017, she joined the Chaire of Biosecurity at the Veterinary School in Toulouse as a post-doc researcher.
Research
“Claire is interested in research on epidemiology and surveillance of animal infectious diseases.
As part of the Chaire of Biosecurity, Claire studies the epidemiology of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (HPAIV) in France where the disease spread. Her research focuses on identifying the risk factors of HPAI infection in poultry holdings and thus to generate predictive risk maps for HPAI. Her other current research activities include describing the spread pattern of HPAI during the 2016-2017 epidemics and investigating the role of live poultry trade in the spread of HPAI.”
